For those of you who didn’t— you are officially culturally illiterate. Quick! Before it’s too late, watch She’s the Man immediately. You never know when things might take a turn for the worse, and you cannot possibly have lived a fulfilled life without having seen and loved this movie.

But I digress. Welcome to Slush Sleuth, a blog where I review the things I read and ruminate on my life as an intern in publishing. I’ve been a professional blogger since 2003, and by professional I mean that I owned a blog where dutifully posted all my online quiz results for about a month before letting it swiftly fade into oblivion. Lather. Rinse. Make a new blog. Repeat all through high school.

Only God and Tom Cruise know what will happen with this one. Between college classes, graduate school applications, internships, my social life, my short attention span, and my I-Refuse-To-Do-Anything-Productive-Days that I like to host at least bi-monthly, Slush Sleuth doesn’t stand a chance at long-term survival.

But I love lost causes. What else could have possibly prompted me to sit through six seasons of The Hills?

And if all else fails, I have a food-blogging roommate whose stalwart dedication might shame me into walking the straight and narrow. We—and by we, I mean the royal we, because I clearly don’t have followers before posting a single blog post—will just have to wait and see. 

But, like my dear friend Principal Gold iterated, "Welcome, welcome!"
